I have only heard of one other Silver on green car but thought it was a darker green. Is this a factory color combo for '66?
Does anyone have any better pictures of this color on a 66-67 b-body?
I think rare is when you find a '60's Mopar that DOESN'T have an interior/exterior color matching combination especially green or triple green with a matching vinyl roof ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif)

While that is mostly true (and admittedly quite funny ) I have not come across many green 66-67 Chargers. I like the interior and exterior color but the combo is pretty stiff. It would be a cool color in or out with black or silver IMO.
Thanks glad you took it that way because it was meant to be funny........my '68 double green road runner ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puke.gif)

I think the color is called, Citron. Interior is the same color. 3 speed on the column. My father has a 3 speed on the column 66 Charger too, Originally the same color combo as this one. My father changed his to red w/white interior.
My 1st car way back in '78 was a 383/auto '66 Charger. Light(powder)blue with a dark royal blue interior. Thinking about it now it was a nice combo...........SOOOOOOO i NEVER knew they made 3 speed on the column??????? Is this true? I thought that because all '66-'67 Chargers have the console, they all had the shifters on the floor? If this is true what does the console look like where the shifter would be? Can we get some interior pictures for me?
3 sped on the column is very rare on a 66 Charger. If you read somewhere in one of the ads or other literature, 3 speed is standard and bucket seats/console is also standard equipment. A 3 speed Charger has a delete plate in the console top where a shifter would be. The car listed in the link that the OP posted is 3 speed and you can see the shifter delete plate in the first interior shot.

Odd this topic should pop up. I just put an offer on a 66 charger buffed silver car/black interior poly 318 3-onda-tree. Never new they were somewhat rare. I was going to keep the console plate to add to my collection of odd stuff and flip it. Maybe I can post pics when things materialize. My buddy had it since high school and wasn't driven from the mid 80s till...I get it for a week or so and actually take it for a ride

Here is a picture from the OP's link.
You can see the console shifter delete plate. I think the car is going to need a dash pad.
You would think they could have made a cup holder or something like that where the plate bolted in...totally hilarious 60's engineering there. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
You are right on needing a dash pad too. My Red '66 didn't have a dash pad for years and the dash lights reflected off of the windshield like a head's up display. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif)

WOW....live and learn!!! 3spd on the tree with the console! Very different, thanks guys! Mine now as in the pic is being parted at my friends place. There is 3 mostly complete cars in a JY 5 minutes from my house, they are for sale as complete cars, not part out.
I loved my car back in the day and always wanted a HEMI version. At one time a small apartment building was built at the end of my street. I remember seeing a '66 or '67 parked there. It had 426 emblems on the fenders, BUT i was young and shy to go find the owner and BS about the car!!
I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

A long time ago I was the second owner of a '66 that color, 383 4bbl 4spd, car had flawless scratch free paint, mint black interior, as close to a new car as it could have been, and it had a little over 100k on it! Original owner was finicky school teacher, got a new car every 2 years, but didn't like the '68s. Waited another 2, ordered a 70 383 4spd. And I got the 66. Sure would like to have gotten the 70. That color was more gold than green, one of those colors that people would always ask what color is that? I sold it, the next owner's brother rolled it. They fixed it (sorta) and painted it panther pink, said "nobody would have to ask what color it is now." ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/violin.gif)
It takes gasoline to interest me.
