8.02 @ 166 mph, it was a nice clean pass.
that did not take long for him to go backwards with the tuneup. Good luck Edie.

My Friend? Do you know me?
Does ones post count determine how much I know? Relatively new here? Look at my register date then look at yours then look at Eddie's. I've been here longer than Eddie; conceivably I could've read every post that involved yourself and Eddie. Nice try. (and technically, if you take count of my prior username, I've been here longer than you, but that’s a mute point).
I understand you have a "friendship" with Eddie, just not sure how your post contributes in anyway to the Moparts race forum, especially a thread of congratulations. Fred, if you wish to discuss how new I am any further, feel free to PM me.
Once again...Eddie, congratulations on a remarkable achievement and I apologize for the other(s) who have nothing but negativity to add to this thread.

With the 440-1 heads he was spraying everything he could. I don't think that is the case now.
The limiting facter now is the car not the engine.

He done good today. The Nova that went 7.70's only ran 8.04 today, so Eddie did better than him.
Weather was crap compared to BG. Hot and humid.

I'm not at all suprised that both of the big hitters slowed down a little. The game at Drag Week is to lay down a decent number on Monday, then survive the midweek runs and just do what is necessary to hold your position, get a run on Friday to complete the quest...THEN, and only then, Go for it!!

I think some of the post are misleading.
Monte is not working on the car. I would have to go back and look at what he actually posted but seems he set the new wheelie bars up and gave Eddie some baseline nitrous tuning strategies. So in fairness Eddie is working on his own car. Eddie and his crewmember are the only ones allowed to work on the car once the event is started if I read the rules correctly. Not an Eddie 1/2" fine thread hugger just giving him credit for what he seems to be doing.

The idea is to keep it together till it's over, right. They ran a different track today didn't they? So weather and track conditions could contribute to the slower times. Someone call the boy and get him on here so we can rag him or congratulate him whatever you prefer.

Any track near BG is probably going to be slower. BG is a seriously nice track.
