The track was shutting down at 2:00 pm. Some of the cars were leaving as we were getting there about 11:00. You can make your run and hit the road. Eddie ran near the end, around 12:30 I think. It is around a 4.5-5 hour drive from BG to Steele on the interstate. I have no idea what route they are making them take, but Ray and Eddie should be in Steele before 10:00pm, assuming no issues. I am sure Ray will have some "road reports" from the drive. Eddie is not as bad as some of us make out, but still, to put up with him for a week, a SECOND time, Ray is a saint.
Larson's car is a monster. He only got the motor put in Saturday night and came to BG. The car had NEVER made a pass with the turbo motor and new chassis until today. The 7.75 must have been after I left, but I saw some early shutoff passes that looked like it was going to really run.
A couple other nice Mopars. The 62 Plymouth has a HEMI that is set up for two stages of spray, but the nitrous had been taken off. Did not see it make a pass. The others are more or less drivers. The red Cuda is fast, smallblock car. I thought the owner was a member here.
Eddie has done a good job getting the car ready. Most everything was ready to go, he just has a hard time focusing on getting things ready to run vs talking to people. The car launched nice and straight and went right down the track. I set the wheelie bars and told him what to do with the nitrous and timing, but the rest is all Eddie

Sooo Monte IF the planets were all lined up and traction wasn't a issue, what do you think Eddie's car COULD run? Matt
I don't think traction is an issue. He has a big set of Goodyears on there. The 7.98 was VERY soft. The car only had a 1.28 60ft and never turned a tire. The first kit is small, plus the second is on a progressive that was set very conservatively. Since it was the only hit, I wanted to make sure there were no issues and it made a clean pass. I also had a bunch of timing knocked out until I could see the plugs. By getting more aggressive with the progressive and adding a couple degrees of timing, I think it should go 7.70s with ease and faster if he leaned on it. As far as I know, he has no plans to put larger jets in, don't think he even has any with him. Just tune on what he has and go with it. Like Quicktree said, he has his class easily covered and does not need to try and run with Larry.

Fred, that was a well posed, informative and upbeat comment regarding a great acheivement. (get a life)
with 34 posts and relativly new here you must not know that by now Eddie expects me to torment him whenever possible. That's the basis of our great friendship. and I do have a life a very full on my friend
WOW!!! An Elvis thread, no Elvis, but still the usual drama.
Good going Eddie, can't wait to see it on vid.
Don.

My Friend? Do you know me?
Does ones post count determine how much I know? Relatively new here? Look at my register date then look at yours then look at Eddie's. I've been here longer than Eddie; conceivably I could've read every post that involved yourself and Eddie. Nice try. (and technically, if you take count of my prior username, I've been here longer than you, but that’s a mute point).
I understand you have a "friendship" with Eddie, just not sure how your post contributes in anyway to the Moparts race forum, especially a thread of congratulations. Fred, if you wish to discuss how new I am any further, feel free to PM me.
Once again...Eddie, congratulations on a remarkable achievement and I apologize for the other(s) who have nothing but negativity to add to this thread.
