Looking to replace the convertible top on a '71 Barracuda and was told the original crush grain white top is actually a limey off white. Is this correct? A non-orignal car am I better off just getting a white top? Going on a plum crazy car and looking for best appearing rather than original.

Thanks!

Yes the top is less than bright white, kinda eggshell..

Bright white would not look good, it is a little more creamy but looks real white in the sun.(see attached)

Thanks Randy, Mike & Barry!

So you guys would suggest keeping with the original eggshell/off white color I take it I guess it'll give me a head start on the yellowing

I'd keep the correct color. You really don't notice it unless you have a white car.

Check out these pictures, you can see the difference. http://www.71superbee.com/Troy_Hawkes/

Nick! Thanks for the pic. It clearly shows the difference. I think I'll stick with the correct white.
Thanks!
