Looks fantastic Mike...any plans to bring it out this year?

I would love to Dave, problem is, it's difficult to baby sit a car and vend at the same time. I'm going to bring it up with Ed (Carlisle Events) tomorrow at our B/E & A party, I might consider it if I can get "T" building space for the car.

It's a lot to do I'm sure....I need to contact Ed myself about displaying the white car in Beeny Motors....info submitted, haven't heard back yet....D

A bit more info on the car that you may not know from Dave Southen;

"A few more things about the car. I remember at the time (1980) the story was
that the car was ordered and purchased new by a local veterinarian (I think
out of Owen Sound, Ontario). When I first saw the car in 1980 it had been
hot rodded as the photos clearly show.

One of the photos is at the first Mopar Nationals which took place at the
Chrysler Proving Grounds at Chelsea, Michigan in the summer of 1981.

I was offered the car in the early '80's for around $6,500 as I recall, but
as I was at school (and had sacrificed both my hemi Satellite and Superbird
to go to school) it was not to be.

We did buy some gears out of the car (5:13's or 4:88's as I recall) and I
think they ended up in a Duster race car that Bill Veens built back in the
early '80's. After the Coronet was sold in the '80's I lost track of it
until 2006 when the car was advertised for sale on eBay. The owner had
another 4 door hemi car. He was based in Las Vegas as I recall. I sent him
these photos at the time.

I'm glad to see the car restored and would love to see it again in person.
If the current owner of the car would like to contact me I think I could put
him on the right track to find out the real story about the car's early
days."

WoWoW Mike; what an outstanding car. I have also been a huge fan of the 4-door Hemi's since reading about the Floyd Cline car way back when.

Please consider showing it at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, November 17-18. Our Mopar presence has nearly doubled since our inception in '09 and keeps getting better and better. As you surely know, mopars are where my heart is! Since I am a huge fan of the unexpected, your car would be a fine addition to the mix.

BTW; in addition to producing the MCACN show, I have been your neighbor at Mopar Nats for several years now.

The Hemi Coronet 4-door and Hemi Coronet 2-door sedan both look good, and they would really look good side by side at a show.

I remember this 4 door Coronet well.
It was advertised in the NHOA newsletter for sale out of Ontario in the early 80's.
My brother bought the Superbird that TiMopar described as being his and from looking at the pictures and the descriptions, these have to be the same cars.
He didn't want the Hemi Coronet because it was a 4 door!
Hind sight is always 20/20 i guess.
I loved the car and the color, but he wouldn't change his mind.
Great to see the pics of it restored. Beautiful job.

Wow! Those are some cool retro pics from that Sauble Beach meet. I was there even though I was only four years old.

My Dad has a cool story of doing burn outs in the 4dr downtown Owen Sound and the cops harassing Drew in the red Hemi Charger for about it.

We were talking about the 4dr today actually. Just happens to stumble upon this thread while looking for something else.

Great job on the car Mike. My Dad has the original 426 Hemi emblems off of the 4dr mounted on his tool box.

Just to ad another comment about the red Hemi Charger. It is alive and well in Mike garage looking as good as ever.
