Ok since Ive inherited my dads 70 coronet Ive wondered how much oil to put in when I change the oil this spring

Bets I can remember its a 70 440 bored .30 over deep sump oil pan with a windage tray .....So can any give me a general idea of how many qts it should take????

And what would be the best filter to use on it?

Six would be the best guess, but its just that--a guess. Do you trust the dipstick, or have any reason NOT to trust it???

And you're sure the sump is deeper than stock???
