I love seeing this build, best of luck later this year. One question, why not Predator Heads?
If I had to do it all over again I would have a set. These heads were given to me by my pops. I will eventually get a set and give these back to him to play with. He is a N/A guy and these will be good for him especially after how much work I got done to them.
Makes since! I was in the same boat kind of and I sold the B1's and bought the Predators. I'm N/A 596" trying to run 7.60 index A/Gas so every little bit helps!
One more question why not turbo's?
Well, if you go purely by flow numbers nothing out flows the twin F2's. With more CFM the more potential for power. What we are learning is it take allot more power to spin them. Turbos are not out of the question though. I will give procharger a chance just because I have so much invested in them. As long as I can get some high 6's, I'll be happy.
The reason I was asking about the turbo's is I have a partner that went to turbo's with a Buick 455 and Ken Dettwieler told use it would make 2200hp-2400hp easy with 497CID and twin 76mm turbos. This project is a Bonneville deal so maybe the 1/4 mile is a little different. Ken also told us there is a lot of room to grow with turbos.
Anyways best of luck!! Very Neat Build!!!

DJ... that inner cooler just doesnt look big enough to support 2 good size blowers.. yes I understand the distance that the air will travel....... JMO... looks good though
Looks are deceiving, that is a IC-3000 and has been proven on the dyno already. Same intercooler that was on the video.
Are you running ice in that cooler(pumping cold water through it)... where will the ice chest be
Water/Ice tank will be in the back. Will buy a couple bags in the morning before racing...
Build looks killer man!
Just a heads-up...my slow 10-second hooptie turns 20# worth of intercooler tank ice into bath water on every pass. I think you're going to need more than a couple of bags. I take 150# worth of ice to the track every time I run it in the heat.

I want to say I have heard of running dry ice with an antifreeze mixture in the innercooler.

we tried the dry ice trick on an all motor car i work on. makes ALOT of vapor and didn't really seem to work any better than normal ice. However, we don't like the water super cold because it will crack the paper thin cylinder heads

The dry ice/antifreeze mix goes in the intercooler to cool the intake piping. There is none in the engine.
A lot of people who run air/water don't run radiators and use the intercooler water tank to cool the engine.
I bet you wouldn't recommend that rolling 1400 miles though correct?

I would think using antifreeze would be highly frowned upon even in an intercooler by both sanctions and track owners

But not a liquid, as to make contact with 100% of the surface of the radiator!
Working in the areospace industry we would use alcohol and dry ice to shrink parts such as bearings this would provide 100% surface contact. You would have to treat it like a fuel sell and have a fire wall between you and the innercooler
