Im looking at the 65 seat brackets Kramer has , and Im looking at the same ones at ssandafx. Kramer wants $385.00, ssandafx wants $250.00. So whats the difference???? Is Kramer just marking up the price ???

I think I remember a guy on here, that has a real 65 a990 car. Said his were painted black and were just sitting in storage. Now I Know guy's that buy these brackets and have a heck of a time getting them to work right in their cars. Makes think the ones being sold are not quite right and not a direct bolt in. Maybe they were trying to bolt the seat brackets to the frame and not to just the floor pan ???? Im shure someone on here has fought with it.

I would be interested in a set for my '65 Belvedere also.

Is the floor pan of a '62 the same as the '65's? If so, We have a 62 Fury I can test fit templates in and make them correct.

Ive done alot of 64"s and 65's and know their small differences, but as far as 62 ??? I havent messed with a 62 oem pan.
Chances are really good ,that I will be making some changes to bolt the seat brackets to the cage, and not just the pan.

The difference is in the height. As to the price, get the Authentication Guide (about $20), $40 is sheetmetal & about $30 in hole saws & make your own.........

The real things are supposed to be "reversible" so you can move the seats back by switching them side to side.

I can tell you that you can't do this with the SSandAFX ones.

I got them on sale and, while they look good, I can't used them unless I bolt on some kind of adjuster.

I'm way too tall and sit too close with them mounted the way they came marked.

these were copied from a990 car long ago. depending on your height they may sit too high, also depends on your seats, the originals were pretty thin. I tried these in my 67 also , and were too high so my buddy made some like them an inch or so lower. first pictures are dr side outer.

The Authenticity Guide by Schild does not give dimensions, only a picture of the seat and brackets.
