Real simple on mine. Angle-iron frames on the bottom.

WHAT SIZE CABLE DID YOU GUYS USE?
I found some 2Ga american made welding cable tonight for $2.09 a foot. I was thinking about picking up about 10' of for a ground wire. I wasn't sure if I should use a heavier gauge wire for the positive cable from the battery in the trunk to the starter or not. What do you guys think?

Wow, I think I read your mind, Thats pretty much what I was planning on doing but I wasn't too sure if the 1Ga cable was going to be overkill. I knew most of the cable kits Summit sells are a rip off.

I used a piece of #1 for the positive and two # 2 in the trunk for the grounds, I also use two or more #4 grounds to the frame from the engine as well as the aluminum elephant ears. You can never have to many grounds on a race car with the battery in the trunk
Ditto here too. Separate ground to the motor, pickup points on the body, steel is a poor conductor of electricity. Copper is much better

I just called up my local welding shop and found 1ga Welding cable (Box of 25') for $62.25, I think I am going to pick up some of the 2ga for a ground(s) and run the 1ga from the battery to the starter.
Sound like a plan? So far thats the best price on the 1ga I have found.

Wahoo! I ran over to AirGas down the road. They had 4 pre-packaged 25' 1Ga Heavy Duty Welding cable sitting off to the side. The best thing about it is that it is American made! It is "Radnor" brand, rated for 105 degrees Celsius (221 degrees fahrenheit)...
