There was some discussion about this over on www.umtrnorth.com a while back. There was some great info exchanged there from real world racers.

With a stick car I would want a throttle switch with a window switch. Use a timer if you can't hook it off the line.

I run a two stage plate. First stage comes on with a throttle switch with no timing out. Second stage is on the shifter handle and is hooked up to a digital 6 box that pulls the timing out. Kind of old school but it works great.

Motor has 34 degrees of timing on the first stage. First stage is 100 HP with good gas. I also run the motor at 34 NA with pump gas. Second stage is 125 HP and take 6 degrees out only if i run the second stage. I turn both on in first gear. first stage is on as soon as i take off and second one is on a little past the 60 foot timers. I run a Rankin trans that is similar to a G-Force. Hope this helps

No Problem. I run 2 regulators off a fuel log. One regulator for the motor is set at 7 pounds. Other Regulator runs both fuel solenoids and is set at 5 pounds. First stage is 57 square and 2 stage has a 64 square pill. I run a McLeod long style pressure plate with a Ram 6 puck disk. Best ET so far with both stages is 10.44 130.73 mph. Thats with a 2 1/2 inch exhaust with flowmasters. I know there is some more in it. Drove it to the track and drove it home.

non adjustable pressure plate? Those are some awesome times, and a great looking car too!

See a lot of guys running the "RICK'S SWITCH" looks like a straight forward approach to me that could be adapted for nitrous use

I take off around 4500 RPM or so. On motor the car runs high 11's. The Ricks switch i have looked into and will probably go that route at some point thanks. Monte Smith is one off the best but i hate to ask for information when i dont run his product but thank you.

thanks man!

Im trying to figure out how im going to wire up the nitrous on my 4 speed car. Do you leave off a two step? If so, how do you have the nitrous wired so that it only comes on after dumping the clutch?

Hey, I do not use my 2-step as of yet. I just hold the pedal at 4500 and dump clutch and floor it and car takes off on a throttle switch (NOS) right out of the gate. There are many better ways to do it but it works for me. Then hope i dont miss a gear
