I am asking because I have 3 1968 lids at my shop.
2 of them have a bracing with large openings and you can see the sealer oozing from under the brace...
but 1 of them has a closed or blind underbrace.
I wonmder whats up with that? Is it an early/late production thing?
Can't answer that question , but it could be early vs late , I THINK a 69 lid is closed off underneath ...

Don't know if the '68's had the same requirment for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) for "crumple zone" as the '69 trunk lids and hoods had????
