are they making better power than hooker supercomps? fitment? groundclearance? overall servicefriendly? this section have been prety quiet for a few days and is nothing like it used to be but hope there is some answers anyway.. are people stuck in their shops working on there racecars this time of the year or just hiding from the penguins and hippos maybe even a zombie invasion?

I can't answer the power question but I loved mine on my small block a body. Just cut the flanges and I could remove them and reinstall them without even lifting the car. They may rub a little in the steering linkage but it's minor and ground clearance isn't great but then what header is.

I love the Hedman hustler headers.... We used a set on my father-in-laws Duster (my suggestion) and they are nice... IMO Made much better than the hooker, seems those things will rust out in no time flat...just a few years.. I also think they will make more power, or atleast more peak power. I havent measure but its easy to see how long the primary tube length is on the hookers... Probably close to 40" LOL.. Guess that was the route years ago with stock heads and stock CID engines to help maybe help mid range and low end torque... But Im no expert...

emailed hedman about what partnumber they recomend and they said their headers wouldnt seal properly with my heads (edelbock rpm) and pointed me towards TTI, so i gues i will build my own then
its realy a shame since they seem to make a very nice product.
I know mine came with a adapter plate that bolted to the head that changed the bolt pattern from factory to a w2/w5 pattern, but mine are also a 2" tube to a 3 1/2" collector for an A body, also A milodon pan that is a kick-out style won't work.
Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

I can't comment on the Hookers but love my Hedmans. I have no ground clearence issues and as mentioned they go on very easy. Also as already posted cut the flanges closer to the tubs, it looks cleaner nad makes them easier to install.
you know that pic makes me think that they may even fit a car with powersteering if just one pipe (#5) was relocated alitle back

Did you see the photos I posted? Those are Edlebrock heads and have never had any leaking issues, I only use Fel-Pro gaskets though.
They will work with a Milodon pan if you section the side of the pan . It's the only pan I'll run on the street, never bumped one yet.
