From the NHRA results page:

"(W) Charlie Westcott Jr. (SS/AH '68 Barracuda) 0.102 8.498 158.91
(L) David Barton (SS/AH '68 Dart) 0.073 8.584 156.39

Westcott let Barton sit in pre-stage for a very long time before he joined the party. Charlie Westcott Jr.'s MOV: 0.0574 seconds (approximately 13 feet)."

Chuckles is a schmuck! Too bad he didn't get a redlight for playing games!

No rule saying how long you have to prestage the car. Barton could have played the game also. Wait long enough, and double bulb him...

thats some good profesional hillbilly racin right der now.

We start early due to rain chance. 8:00ish. Just finished eating my crow.

La. recipe: Take a 3 pound crow, pluck it, gut it, wash it and saute' it for 8 hours with 3 pounds of steel wool. Throw out the crow and eat the steel wool. .38 in these conditions, are you kidding me???

The fastest car won.-- Boy Hebert should be depressed and embarrassed. Not much to show for all the mouth.

Actually neither, BUT I certainly blew my whistle before I had any air in the tank. At sixty, BOY is a compliment. Thank you so much. PM me an address and I will send you some goodies!??

The whole two engine tractor pull attempt was not well recieved by NHRA. Thanks a lot Charlie!

Did shoot a limit of dove as well as a 69 today despite clipping a flying crow with a tee shot! Ball fell in hazard and I had a bad drop, made double. Bet I can beat CWJ at golf!!!! Stephen

Thanks to all the 2012 Indy Hemi Shootout participants!

Great race and the final came down to exactly what you could hope for: The two biggest hemi builders, Barton vs Wescott, Stick vs Auto, #1 & #2 qualifiers,Past and present record holder, and a very VERY close race in the final!

And my bet was against the odds on David in the Earthquake car. Now I'll just hope that someone puts an AH car into the super stock winners circle. I'm with the odds on this one, Lil Joe or Stephen Comella! Or if David runs the Earthquake car in the eliminator

Pictures are up on:

Thanks Doug!

And Frito, where is all the live reports and pictures???

The Island Hemi was beautiful and the father & son team of the Comella's gave a good showing.

She called me (don't tell Jane) and sang:

Isn't it ironic, don't you think. A little too ironic, I really do think:

They let Ray.......spacer his head;

Charlie's doubler bar......with all of it's thread;

Yet when I do.....a safety upgrade;

I get kicked out...... when I already paid;

Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?

A little too ironic? I REALLY do think.

No matter. Slow as Christmas.

It was the "slushbox" for that race. Much easier to drive in the BARN for a couple of days. Obviously the car did not like it. Myself and Jeremy, my "putter 'inner; taker 'outter" both bumped our head on changeout. Shoulda' Coulda' Woulda'

Water-gate; White Water-gate; WMD-gate; Bounty-gate; and now Girdle-gate. Gotta' love it!!!!
