I went 13.4@ 102 with a stock 79 360 with MP 474 cam performer intake 625 AFB headers and 3.23 gears in a 3250# dart

I needed 4.10 gears to get there with the heavy RR.

I actually tried 3.91's and it did not change the et at all I was out of motor/tuning and it was stock pistons rings and bearings from a 85K mile 79 wagon

You may wanna ask quickmopardan on this one

Dan's is a long way from stock.

Not if you ask him it isnt

Now thats funny. He is a cool guy but we'll just say that his car is closer to Mazzolini's car than it is to stock. The Alterkation front end and the bathtub he has for an oilpan are your first clues Thats one strong small block though no matter how you look at it.

In my heavy car 3.55 to 4.10 was like 4-5 tenths. I suspect 4.10 to 4.88 might be another 2-3 tenths.

You bet your boots about the stock bottom end! It is one tough piece. Lemme guess: yours is stock with a good balance job and a carefull attention to detail. Had one like yours in a Aspen (F-body). Right with ya: low 12's. Still gonna give money to the Foundation. I have thoroughly enjoyed this post. If anything we've showed how tough and fast a small block Mopar can go. All that BS about it's too expensive to build one or you can "build a Chevy a lot cheaper" was disproved right here. Keep kicking bowtie butt Fish !!

Lets hear some more!

Sorry for the delay Mirada. Go to the "forabodysonly" wed site, there's a thread about the 273 racers.
