I like to use feeler gauges as nice spring stock when I build tattoo machines... Izzat on topic?

When I set valve clearances like others said, light drag.

I will admit to curling feelers sideways to fit into round clearances in a pinch and even tack welded some in as shims in various applications.

Very Slight drag, just like those C-clamp thingies w/the numbers on them.

Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

what kind of "pressure" do you use in the insertion of that feeler into the slot.....

I didnt know this was the sports section, but I say hes ready coach Its gonna be a long winter.

I use them in the manner which they were made for, Doc your a real freak.

Id be asking the quality of the set one is using...ive some old old sets that are so nice to use and made well, look at the made in china sets at autozone....I hope there quality is better then there other products.

A better thread would be 100 uses for a feeler gauge.

Its pretty simple to me... I beat them in with a hammer
and pull them back out with a come-along... what so
hard about that... takes awhile to do all of the valves
but I get them done right.... but what does that matter,
I'm retired and on my CHEAP pension ....
no I just use a fair drag to it... not alot... to
me its a feel... maybe thats why they're called
feeler gauges
