Picked up this old Dodge conv a few months back , it was orig rodded in the 50s then in the late 60s early 70s was torn apart and a 383, 4spd and a Dana 60 from a 69 RR was installed and it was never finished , I took all the running gear out last month , over the winter gonna turn it into a safe driver and hopefully next spring I will be cruising the wheels off it as a primered work in progress not a Rat rod as I do actually intend on finishing the car... What do you think... its a 35 Dodge Conv and apparently they didnt make many of them...

Thanks I will keep you posted.. the body should be off in the next week or so , we are gonna box the frame and rework the xframes in both the body and the frame as the original builder had no clue when it came to hacking that 383 into it ... this time it will have a 440 w a tunnel ram w 2 660s , 4spd w an 8 3/4 as I have a 68 Charger that was begging me for that Dana.... I am gonna build it as a period correct street machine with what would have been available had it been built around 1966-67 time frame...

The yellow one's a 34. You couldn't be that lucky. The cream and brown one is a 35. Note the difference in the hood and grille shape.
View another 35 Dodge in my attachment.

You're right of course! Interesting that Hot Rod evidently has it misidentified so it came back in a Google search as a 35 Dodge.

real close to the dodge, different grill and dash.
there might be some other differences but they are close. Ron

Yeah you would think HOT ROD would get it right, oh thats right it's not a ford so they are not familiar with it

there is a big difference from a 34 to the 35. the 35 became a much larger car inside. both are rare to find.
by the way the black 34 you posted is out here in San Diego and it is a fiberglass car, the company that made the body is now out of bussiness

Wow! that is smooth. I love those 34 Dodges and Plymouths! Better buy up all the 34 bodies you can, I am not seeing any for sale around here.

Wow, $7k for glass? I'm with you, I think I'd rather do a steel one for that price...

boxing the frame, redoing the X-member and setting up motor mounts and steering should be all set by next weekend and ready for sandblasting.... This is gonna be a quick cheap build as there will be no High tech or billet stuff here ......
