Made a firewall plate out of diamond plate and installed with carraige bolts. Heater box would not fit with the 512 valve covers. Down the road I will install a small vintage air heater unit. Might be a good place to mount my MSD box too.

Used scratch's pattern to make a plate to mount the aluminum master cylinder.

Made up a couple of 1/4" mild steel reinforcement plates for the rear of the firewall. Might be a little overkill though

Looks like I'm not the only that is using diamond plate. That motor sure looks good rickstershemi. I like the highlights and the dark and the red contrast.

Well got the front clip on; the aftermarket fender will need massaging before paint.

Went with a 26" wide 4 core Champion radiator from one of the board members.

Painted the inner fenderwells and core support black crinkle finish

Battery tray truned out great after sandbalsting the rust off and painting it

Lakewood driveshaft loop. Saving up the $$ for a driveshaft and shifter; slowly but surely....

Found a driver quality grille surround, 2 repro headlight bezels, and used my grille center section.

Most of the engine and body wiring is complete. Everything seems to work, so far.

Truck originally had a 318 with a 4 speed OD transmission. I made a plate out of galvanized that should be stout enough to mount my ratchet shifter to with a steel base plate.

Installed an inexpensive Grant steering wheel with adapter that fits nicely. Truck had cruise control and replaced the turn signal lever with a NOS Volare one that fits perfectly and it was cheap too.

Thanks guys; the interior and the engine compartment will be nice, but I still need some body work done on the cab. But it keeps me occupied and out of the rocking chair

Carpet installed with sill plates; fit was good with no trimming except for under dash.
