Is there anybody out there that have compaird the stock 440 six pack Edelbrock intake to the STR 14-6 in a dyno ? Id realy like to know if and what the difference whas in torque and hp in the lower rpm´s ? Any help is greatly apriciated

I ran both many years ago on a fairly hot street car in those days. The STR is sort of a fuel distribution nightmare on the street. The stock intake was better at the track and on the street. If you want a bit more juice look to the Weiand as Cab said.

Id realy like to find a Weiand intake but that tuff to find ! Direct Connection had some modifications in there race manuals for the 14-6 that might help me !? There´s a pic of that included in this reply.

I run a STR-14 intake with 2 650 Holley DP and it was faster than a TM-7 or M1 intake I run the same 1150 on both of them intakes. The STR-14 worked just as good on the street as the other 2 as well.

I gues that one of the biggest mistake on this intake is that the carbs are placed to close to the the lid so i need to put a 1" spacer under the carbs to get it to work corekly and not run to ritch on fuel !

I had an STR crossram on the car too. The two four manifold has totally different characteristics than the Six Pack one. I too had no troubles with the cross ram. The three two's are not as friendly.
