I haven't compared those two, I do know Paul Rossi and several other Super Stock 6 pak racers from back in the day, if that intake had been any good they would have used them in thier race cars. They didn't ( I'm sure they tested them ) If you want a better six pak intake look for the Weiand two piece mini tunnel ram six pak intake, all the SS racers used them BTW, there not legal in NHRA stock as they where not OEM from the factory IHTHs

I ran both many years ago on a fairly hot street car in those days. The STR is sort of a fuel distribution nightmare on the street. The stock intake was better at the track and on the street. If you want a bit more juice look to the Weiand as Cab said.

I ran the stock type Edlbrcok low deck six pak intake on my 512 and 518 pump gas street and strip stroker. It went a best of 10.34 at 128.+mph on Oregon pump gas with the mufflers and air cleaner on I had a Weiand two piece for a 440 block but ended up selling it to another member on here because the stock Edlbrock intakes work so well I have a 464 440 block pump gas stroker motor with the stock Edlbrock six pak intake also that I used on the street and strip, they work really well

I run a STR-14 intake with 2 650 Holley DP and it was faster than a TM-7 or M1 intake I run the same 1150 on both of them intakes. The STR-14 worked just as good on the street as the other 2 as well.

I gues that one of the biggest mistake on this intake is that the carbs are placed to close to the the lid so i need to put a 1" spacer under the carbs to get it to work corekly and not run to ritch on fuel !

My STR-12 (small block cross ram) is faster and quicker than any other intake I've tried. The absolute same street manners too!

I had an STR crossram on the car too. The two four manifold has totally different characteristics than the Six Pack one. I too had no troubles with the cross ram. The three two's are not as friendly.

I run a 14-6 on my Coronet w/a 440. My manifold came with the mods that are in the MP Engine Book.I ran a stock setup also but w/ my setup the 14-6 works fine although it took some figureing out. It's been on the car for 4 years. I use mechanical carbs w/ 50cc pumps in the outboards. The motor has 10.7 cr w/ a small hyd.cam.My best 1/4 mile et is 11.03 @ 119.7, but I usually run 1/8 mile, and that best is 7.00 @ 98.2. I got the setup because I was told it would never work, and it looks cool.

I put this setup on my 474" low deck stroker, just for the street. I fabricated spacers to turn the AFB's east & west as Ma Mopar wanted them. Starts easily, idles cleanly forever at about 800 rpm. I did no modifications inside the manifold. Fabricating the throttle linkage was hardest part, but works great.

I run the Weiand on the street. Works awesome. Lots of wow factor at car shows when u pop the hood.
