I have been ask to clarify about the use of B-1 heads in NSS. These heads are legal in all NSS classes. We have only have a few racers using them but they are legal. Thanks, Doug Duell
Hi Doug thank you for chiming in and making it clear about the heads...
The B1-TS heads are legal or not legal?
Also is there anyone running in the FX class with bigger tires then 33x10.5w?
Thank you Rob

If you went to "the other site" you'll see he's out in the shop (as you should be) making the necessary changes to comply. I don't see any tears...

B1-TS or Indy Preditors not legal in NMCA NSS/FX I was told "No canted valves" for Mopar Wedge when I was thinking of running Preditors, that's when I went to B-1's.

MC B1 or the PSO B1 most likely would fly. They are both based on a standard B1 casting. Best says 475 CFM for their PSO not sure about Muscle Motors.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

I will admit being a Indy customer for 20 years I do not know alot about B1 heads. I visited there website yesterday and here is my views on the legality of these heads. Feel free to correct me if Im wrong but it looks like B1 heads except fot the B1-TS will bolt right up to a wedge block. Although none of these aftermarket heads look exactly like a stock heads, these heads from a appearence standpoint are in the ballpark. But the B1-TS looks a little outside the ballpark to me. So based upon the fact the B1-TS will not bolt up to wedge block I would say at this time the B1-TS and Indy Preditor head are not legal in NSS. The NSS rules do not address certain brands of heads and may need to in the future. These heads to me appears to be more for Top Sportsman/Top Dragster, super fast bracket applications. Also Josh posted the NSS rules yesterday but it does not include our lasted class AAAA/FX 8.50 index. I hope this info has helped. See ya at the track, Doug Duell

No I want me in my car to race you in your car, it's a bracket race- not heads up. Cause you'll be faster than me and I'll leave first then you can chase and we can have fun at the finish line.

all this smack talk is starting to make you guys sound like those atention whores who race heads up classes...just one more gripe and i will let the flaming begin. Damn who died and made you god Heads-up guys are racers just like index/bracket racers just chasing time slips a different way...I have raced and won in some 5.30 8th mile index races but it sure is hard getting use to dragging the brake pedal at the finish line...Who needs big tires when were getting it done on 28x10.5 tires and going way faster...Don't need any attention from the net as i get plenty at the track being the only MOPAR at most races i attend....

Josh unfortuntly he thinks other wise.... In his own words...:
who do you think was talking to Doug Duell yesterday for 45 minutes about the head choices and tire sizes and front end requirements? Yes it was me. And all B1 heads are legal including the TS Heads according to Doug.
