Indy does not make a low deck version of the
440-25..Only box intake is the eldebrock STR-15 and it takes a bunch of work to make it work. poppaj

It should work with his heads I believe.

Yep , if I'm reading it right he has Chapman stage 6 heads and they use an RB intake on the low deck.

I used a pair of #1812 carbs on my 505. They worked okay right out of the box. It must be a fairly popular setup, I sell a fair number of linkage kits for that combo.

Chaps on a low deck run the RB width Intake.

I'd like to know how this works out for you, If I upgrade the induction of my 517 Chapman this would be the way I'd go.

I prefer to run an AVS style carb not the AFB; I've always found the air valves more responsive to tuning. I have a single 800aVS on my 427" Small block Ford in my Cobra, it's a lot more tractible and street friendly in a high torque lightweight car with a lot of tire.

Andy, If I remember right you had to do some mods to the Indy bathtub to get it to fit properly?

Damon may have some advice on an intake arrangement too.
