Just purchased a new Transmission Specialties Powerglide with all top of the line stuff in it.
I put it in the car today and find I have no park.WTHeck.
I have the lever all the way in parkj with no cable attached and when i push it forward or back you hear a clicking sound and it moves.
Wont hold the car on a incline when in park.
I put it in gear and everything works fine, all forward and reverse gears are in order.
What can be wrong, there is no passes on the transmission.
Joshking440 talked me in to the powerglide.
Joshking440 was supposed to come over today but was working on a chassis for a guy.
Anything I should look for or is there a adjustment that wasnt made during installation or after.

Blah blah blah

Did you unhook the shifter linkage and make sure it's goin in park.

I told you to buy one from ProFormance but you didn't listen.

mike ,sometimes the linkage can crack.you will probably have to drop the pan.the shift lever connects to a rooster comb that can crack on the bottom side of it.also check to see if the spring is in the hole on the parking pawl lever, hope this helps.

Its a pretty simple deal... Its a simple paw and lever that moved a finger into the gear set...
Those paws have been known to break, or come loose etc... Pull the linkage by hand and see if it will engage.. You might need to rock the car some to make the finger fall into the dentent.
It be bes to have the car jacked up so you can see this. If all else fails pull the pan have a look see.. Its not brain surgery with those glides....

I bet this is the problem.I bet its a ATI aftermarket case.
It is machined off a little and your not getting the dick in far enough.

i had a pg with the ultra case and mine would not stay in park either, the fix was to re- engineer the spring lever, take it apart and weld it longer, worked great after that. not sure why this has not been addressed by now at winters.
