What is the best Methanol/Water Injection System?
Current mount is a 1995 Eagle Talon AWD TSi, best 1/4 to date in 13.81 @ 107mph. Mods include aftermarket cold air intake, cat-back 3" exhaust, and 17" BBS rims on 245/40/17 BFG's. Looking for 12's next spring hence the reason I'm here. You all seem very knowledgeable.
Cheers.

I run the Snow Performance stage I kit for N/A applications. check out their wesite for your application. It works! I don't think it will get you from 13.8 to 12's. Sounds like you need to get the turbo spolled up quicker. 107 is good mph it's low 12 second mph.

That 107 is yelling lack of traction (2.30ish 60ft) lol. Doubt very much its a 12sec car..Mid 13 maybe. I'll check out your link & Snow, thanks. Any thoughts on DevilsOwn kits?
get some stickies on all 4 corners, it won't spin then. 107 is good for around 12.70 or so.

traction for sure. a tenth or 2 on the front end (launch) will give you 4 or 5 on the back end I believe.
I know my big block stroker Dakota had stupid power I could hit 120 mph by the end of a freeway on-ramp, but a 1/4 mile run on street tires, my 60' times were 2.3 - 2.4 and the best I could do was a mid 13 second at 105 mph.
buddy of mine had a VERY similar Dakota. both trucks were club cabs. his was a 408 stroker small block, automatic trans, mine was 438 (383 stroked), TKO 5-spd. on slicks, he was clicking off mid 12s at 104.
(same guy that were building the forged 5.9L stock stroke, supercharged motor for his new truck...a regular cab Dakota.
He just bought a snow kit, but the rotating assembly is getting balanced right now, so I'll let you know how it goes in about 6 months after the build is done, and the snow melts!

looking foward to reading about that build! here's the dreaded t-slips.. the lower the rpm on the launch, the faster I went lol.

AEM has an interesting kit. They have a fail-safe monitoring system with gauge and software that you can program your injection curve. It has a flow sensor that actively measures the actual amount of water/meth flowing and if it deviates from your programmed curve for any reason (low fluid, leak, clogged injectors, etc.) it will throw an alarm and it has a 0-5 volt output you can wire into your ECU (presuming you have some form of standalone system) which you can use to pull timing, boost, etc. AEM Water/Methanol Fail-Safe Device

holy crap, 2.3 and 2.4s?!?! isn't that little mitsubishi copy 4-wheel drive? you're leaving the line as slow as my 4200 lb, nose heavy, 2wd, stick shift big block truck on hard street tires!!!
infact, those are nearly copies of my time slips from the truck! first time I had it to the track it was running high 13s at 105s best I could ever get that was down to mid 13s

Yeah, its an AWD. 2.XXsec sixties are slow, all that is wheelspin right through the 60ft. Nature of the beast with my tires & boost. Serveral people have told my that stickys on all four corners will get me into the 1.7sec 60ft range, leaving on some boost. But I drive the car nearly 100 miles to the track and don't feel like breaking anything when I get there lol. So building a bit more boost & perhaps a bit more sticky tires and making it reliable will get me what I'm looking for. From a roll though, this thing has crazy acceleration, as some older Vipers found out Think I'm sold on that failsafe unit.. awesome.

Yeah, that'll be added to the 3.5 bar AEM map / Tial BOV / GReddy 20G turbo / MW-50 / stickier street tires list, and yes, it really does blow the tires right off. $$$ lol.. well actually not that much more money.

Thanks, along with the above, supra side mount IC & re-wired Denso fuel pump. Perhaps my starting line technique does need some improvement. The Turbo is a older Garrett unit. Time for a new one. If you pulled those sixties on that track... What were your mods on the 91?

Older garret what? T28? Must be running what, 560,660 injectors? What are you tuning with? What boost you running? I ask because the gains you can see from meth vary on these factors. If you're at the top of your compressor map for that turbo the gains you'll see from meth won't be as great as per say if you could crank more boost out of your turbo setup but were limited by knock (intake air temp or octane related). The last time I ran my talon it had a turbo back exhaust with a 2.5" magnaflow cat, self ported 2g manifold and o2 housing and a supra side mount, kind of a custom hybrid organic/ceramic clutch with an equivalent 2100lb pressure plate. That was it. Stock turbo, stock fuel and was fuel cutting. I managed a 1.8 60 ft and I think best was 8.8@79 MPH or so (1/8th). The fuel was holding me back big time. I eventually put 560s on it and a 190 walbro, tuned with simple AFC and ran 19lbs on the stock 14b. Never got it to the track with that setup though before another driver wrecked me on the street. I have a 95 right now I'm doing a 6-bolt swap on... pretty much going to build it and flip it though.

Nah, just some Blitz 534 injectors, had to replace one bad factory one, so I said screw it and bought a set. T-25 @ around 18lbs. Tuning with APEXi. Much better then a screwdriver lol.
As far as injecting the MW-50, up or downstream of the TB?
