Great job, can you share how you achieved the slop look with the seam sealer?
Thanks
Just urethane sealer, I bought those tubes that you have to apply with an aplicator gun. I cut the tip the biggest I could, and really applied it on REAL THICK. Then I just bought a brush and cut it in small pieces (as big as a barbers brush) and I brushed and spread the sealer. Its better to use a brush that has stiff bristles.
The key hear is to do it fast and not overdo it, you want to brush and push the sealer right in the middle to make the sealer get into the seam and leave the edges of the sealer just spread out so the spread and habve a "round" oozed off look on the sides. You want to brush just once, max twice and be done with it.
Thanks for the info, I'm doing a 71RR V code right now, and I'm at that point of applying the sealer.

Hey Norm, also, when you spread the sealer over the primer...you will probably think you didnt do it right, but its the contrast in colors (white sealer over the primer) that will get you thinkning that you didnt do a good job, and you will be tempted to spread the sealer some more and overdo it!!!...Just leave it, and when you spray it body color, it instantly looks good!!!!
So dont overdo it! Resist the urge to do so!!! LOL

Thanks for all the kind words guys... If you want to see the whole process documented and follow the restoration, I have a facebook page on it: http://www.facebook.com/1969.hemi.chargerI still have to do the updates on the paint though!

Thanks guys!!!! Yes, thats the best way I thought there was to do it. I want to drive it and enjoy it, not just show it! The restoration has to endure the test of time and actual use and keep looking fresh!!!! Quote:
Domingo, unreal. Looks unbelievable. You really are an artist. Make sure you leave some marijuana joints and your initials all over before the carpet install.. Oh ya, leave some wrong build sheets to make it official..
Kiddding. Looks amazing. Great work.
LOL! I could do that!!!! I dont have the buildsheet for the car, but I have a buildsheet for another 69 Charger, so I might do that to make it "correct".... LOL
