I agree with the above post.... I just wish they would build the
following much needed parts:

1) 70 Coronet OEM style Quarter Panels
2) 73-74 Charger OEM Style Quarter Panels
3) 71-74 charger Bulge Hood

I've been told "no mas"

How about the 71 cuda fenders? Anybody compared AMD with Goodmark's yet? Been waiting on these awhile and wondering which will be best fit?

How is it that when these posts come up ten guys say "the best thing since sliced bread" and then there is the one guy that says "just absolute junk". How is that?

I put a AMD drivers floor pan in the 71 R/T in my sig. I butt welded the trans tunnel, and not to blow my own horn but you can't tell. The contours are that close to the original. Up in the left corner the pinch weld was shaped a little different but you would have a hard time finding it.

Cause he loves thin flimsy Goodmark. If he would spend few hours doing some research,he would know that AMD makes solid parts with great track record. It's people who don't have any experience expect the part to jump out the box and install itself

i will admit the 2nd pair of wheelhouse i bought
fit good.
i bought the crappy pair when they first came out
a few years ago
i would of had to do so alot of work to make them fit
the inner and outer wouldn't even sit flush,i had gaps
as large as a 1/2 inch between the 2 panels.
i was almost ready to splice them up to a pair of 4 door panels i had
to create something that would fit

people can sing thier praises all they want
what tells you about a company is when you have a problem
and how they react to it.
you call them with a problem
they deny
they LIE
they know the part was updated
why don't they come clean??
they leave you in the dark
they try to place the blame on you and make vauge
promises of help or replacement
they blow you off
they fail
they suck
for the amount they get for these parts you would think
you would be treated better!!!!
i can't wait to pay thier carlisle tent a visit next year!

I had a 70 Charger left rear quarterpanel, that came in damaged. I took a few pics, and sent them to AMD. They sent another rear quarter and picked up the damaged one. No issues.

its nice you take a shot at the installer
when there is a problem
its the same lame crap amd pulls
your BIASED opinion is obvious

on my car
i replaced all 4 framerails, firewall, main floor, trunk floor
outer rockers and MORE and had NO issues of fit
until the outer wheelhouse.
so i must be the problem
here is a pic of the amd junk after i beat and massaged the panel to almost the point of distorsion
to get it close to fitting
the panel is junk
i will not fit against the inner...

Call it biased , but when someone deals and installs OEM and aftermarket sheetmetal everyday for a living and chooses to buy AMD over Goodmark,Sherman, because of great customer service and most important, great quality and fit,you got me

AMD metal has been proven on this very forum time and time again to be the best fitting and overall quality no matter how much you try to play your tune.I'm sorry you had a problem, but I assure you, if I was the one who sold you those wheelhouses,I would make sure that you get the ones that fit at all costs. BTW,who was your sales person?

everything has been as good or better than original or NOS

And this is possible how? Original is original, correct? And the AMD parts were made using originals as patterns, correct?

I am glad AMD is around and the parts my friends have used on their Mopars fit well, however, not a single one fit better than a nice used part or factory NOS... I do understand that some NOS parts were defective assembly line pieces, but not all and I have never seen one that needed more than a skim coat to straighten out...
I dunno, but I still try to buy good old fashioned factory stamped metal when at all possible to use on my resto projects

elite,i have no idea who i bought them from
it was off ebay before you guys started hawking it on moparts. i have already had a vendor contact amd for me
and i called amd and emailed them and they blew me off
and wasted my time, never replyied to my emails or called me back or even cared if i fixed my problem or not..
i bought another pair on the word of the vendor that he had personally used the part and it would work.
i had enough waiting wasting time i just wanted to get my project rolling
it was holding me up big time

here is how you can tell if you have junk 68-70 dodge outerwheelhouses
the first pic is the amd junk garbage that does not fit
notice the shape of the rear tab...

these are the ones that fit
hmm.... damm that tab sure looks different to me
i would bet a dollar to a doughnut that it was changed
because the first version fits like absolute garbage

The new AMD metal does not fit better then NOS or good used parts. They fit the same. This arguement is forever accuring. I have the solution...buy rust free cars and you will have no worrys. My next Mopar will be, thats for sure.

Last one. I'm not complaining, without this stuff I wouldn't have a restoration project, but for sure, there is a wide range of quality.

I remember cutting up over 50 Mopars back in the eighties that all could have been saved if these AMD peices were available back then. I commend Mark for taking on the challenge of offering up OEM style peices for our classic Mopars. I commend him even more for taking the investment risks involved to do this during a bad economy. As someone who has done test fitting for AMD I will tell you that he has endured retooling some peices as many as ten times over to insure the best possible fit. Many of the peices are tooled from the best attainable original parts that can be aquired. Wether the peices are tooled from NOS or used parts, all of them are pushing 45 years old and have been banged around or tweaked to fit cars that were hit or rotted or both! To get a part that will just drop on every car perfectly right out of the box and fit every 40-45 years old car that has been twisted/smashed/and rotted is a seemingly impossible task. There is almost always some tweaking and custom fitting necessary with every car, even with used or NOS stuff. The AMD stuff is by far the best on the market currently. When I got into this hobby, there was not a single peice of aftermarket replacement sheet metal available for any Mopar. We have come a long way. Thanks Mark.
