driving home in the rain(ofcourse) and I noticed the timing of the wipers seemed...well like i was waiting for the next wipe..lol. I turned radio down and I heard the "click click.........click click"

Got home and I can move the wipers freely by hand.

I'm guessing the linkage? I didn't think these attached via the plastic cup bushings like say my Duster does but I wanted to be sure. anyone know?

I have a 94' Dakota that had the same problem. All of the linkages are attached by plastic bushings like you said. Here are some part numbers 2857917, 3799089,49440. Local parts store had them in stock.

Same problem here on my '96 Dak about a month ago. Of course, driving into the sun, bugs splattered all over the windshield, and I had just hit the squirters to clean it all off.

Pulled over into a gas station and left the wiper switch turned on. Peered down into the grillwork in front of the windshield and watched the motor's arm spinning around, without the linkage, which was laying down in the well. The bushing on the motor's arm that snaps into the linkage had disintegrated.

Got a new bushing from the dealer.

That plastic bushing is a bear to get in there. It's hard to get leverage.
