Just because it's a Warlock doesn't magically make it "better".

Sure it does...even the name says so.
They wouldn't be even half as cool if they were named the Dodge "Leprechaun" now would they?
Marketing is half the battle.

Excellent information guys. I'm going to save all these codes and package descriptions so I have a good amount of information in case the truck is missing its documentation.

I have what I think is a 78 dodge warlock. Any certain numbers I should look for other than the ones listed. there is a set of numbers that starts with a GP9. I am just trying to figure out if its an original or not it has all the other things to believe its a true warlock. PLEASE HELP

LRT, Rod Hall, Macho's (and that sport package from the 60's that I can't recall the name of now)

is this the one your talking about? This was;

The Dodge Dude pickup truck came with factory options such as the powerful Mopar 383 V8, Bucket Seats, a long sweeping body line that ran all the way from the hood to the tailgate. And of course, the signature giant "C" stripe that followed the body line all the way down the side, (simular to the legendary Dodge Superbee), except instead of that classic bumble bee you had - "The Dude."

The Sweptline that everyone wants is the Sports Package with the 426 Wedge.

To answer a year-old post, the difference from an H-code Duster is that the Duster DOES have more than an appearance package and it was originally a neat and hot car, so if one restores it it will be in fact a real one, not a clone or a look-alike. In the world of collectors it makes all the difference, and as long as there is someone out there willing to pay a lot more for a restored H-code Duster than a re-engined slant six Duster, it will mean something.
And I'm sorry, local dude, but a 318 powered 1974 Road Runner is not a muscle car, even though it carries the name.
R.

I had a 79 4x4 warlock II. The V I N started W13JF9S, and I don't believe any of those characters designated it as a warlock.
