What is the proper procedure for adjusting the rear brakes on a 69 B body with front discs? There is a proportion valve in the rear brake line. They're not releasing properly and drag at low speeds. They did the same thing before I installed the PV.

either hyd or mech prob. See if the wheels turn free then pop the drums & see if the shoes are hanging up (doubtful but elim it) then check the drum half of the M/C & must have no RPV then crack the rear line at each fitting from the M/C rearward till you find what's holding pressure. elim one at a time

That and check the hardware.Ive seen plenty of return springs that look good but are weak.I almost always change the hardware as its usually less than 15 bucks for a kit. Also if they have self adjusters make sure they arent installed backwards.Rocky
