MARPark was approved by the county commission yesterday, there will be an official ground breaking either Oct. 15, or Oct. 22 (depending on when the crops are harvested). There will be a new dragstrip in Missouri for 2012! This is right off I-70 and HWY. 19 about an hour west of St. Louis.

Good. Just unreal, going from no dragstrip to two in the area in just a few weeks.

Yeah its crazy great ,just have to get racers ,spectators to support them ,or lose them again maybe forever .
I was at a meeting with the owner and G.M for GIR last week a group of racers were called in with ideas and past concerns .Not much can be released at this point .Being their was a relief to see activity and plans for reopening in the spring 2012 .

Awesome on both counts!!! Excited to finally have a dragstrip closer than 140 miles away!

Official Groundbreaking ceremony will be Oct. 22 @ 10:00, they plan on having BBQ with everybody bringing a side dish for a pot-luck dinner. www.marpark.net
