roller for sure. my car has not been out for some time now but i have been daily driving my solidroller camed 340 with absolutely no trouble from the valvetrain. last two season with a mild 242/248 .570/.576 comp xe cam before that a much more aggresive cam and it worked without trouble.

I have a .030 over 440 with indy heads and a comp solid street roller. There is a little over 2000 miles on it so far, I have checked the lash two times and it was a waste of time. So far it has been great and I would not have anything else.
I also just had Brian at IMM motor machine biuld me a 408 small block and it also has a solid roller, I plan on driving the small block all over the place. like back and forth to work, Vegas next month spring fling next April Drag week 2012 and a 5000 mile round trip to my home town.
Just my two cents; I think you need to use very good valvespings and rockerarms with a solid roller to live on the street.

I'd go mechanical flat tappet. Correctly set up and run with high zinc lube they are street friendly and reliable. Besides cost, I just think the bronze gear deal is a PITA. 9k miles on my MM lobe solid FT. I've checked the lash a few times with little or no adjustment needed and don't even bother looking at the steel OP drive gear.
