I'm running one of the earlier Scarebird kits with GM truck calipers, early Jeep XJ 15x7's and 1.25 bolt on spacers. Never been happy with any of it... pedal feels like there's nothing there then almost locks up. Need to figure it out, but too many other problems, so it doesn't get driven much. BTW, no 14's would not fit mine.
I also had to make some additional spacers for my Fury rotor and clearance their bracket for the lower ball joint. I would assume they've fixed that by now.

Ya, I have heard a lot of guys are not satisfied with the early kits. Supposedly the new kit can be used with the stock 14x4.5" poverty wheels.I really want to run some 14x6 slots, but dont want to buy the wheels and find out that they dont fit.

What car are you putting these on, and what parts do they use?
Got some trans woes to work through, then brakes need to be next.

Going on my 69 Dart Custom with the stock 9in. drums. It uses chevy celebrity calipers, toyota previa rotors, and caddy eldorado hoses. I was skeptical about this combo of parts, but after I bought the calipers/rotors/hoses I no longer have doubts. The calipers are HEAVY and BIG! they seem bigger than the stock single piston units, also the rotors are very nice, and the hub/mounting surface is very thick,so I am not worried about having them drilled for the 5x4" pattern.

Don-
Did you drill your rotors yourself? I havent drilled mine yet,I was thinking about taking them to a machine shop to have them drilled,I dont want to mess em up. But ya you still have to drill the previa rotors, they are slightly shorter than the celebrity rotors so they fit in the stock 14" wheels.Im thinking about using the lighweight mopar master with a 15/16 bore.

A hand drill could be use, but it would be pretty easy to mess up the rotor. A drill press would be better I'd think.
