Just loosen off the adjuster bolt for the torsion bar on the lower control arm. Just take all the tension off of it until it's loose then go to town. You could also either count the number of turns, or sort of measure how far it is sticking down so you can get it close for the ride height when you put things all back together again.

Just put the jackstands on the K member or frame, remove the nut on the lower BJ, pull the tie rod off. whack on the BJ with a BFH and the torsion bar will help pop it off when you whack it right. It will only drop down about 4 to 6 inches at most. Then you should be able to turn the drum away from you, undo the upper BJ nut and again with the BFH, give it a few whacks and it'll drop when you get it right.
put a jack under the lower contol arm and jack it until you can get the new spindle on for the disks.
ok, so are you saying i dont have to loosen the torsion bars then? Just leave them alone? also, If my DISC spindles already have the lower ball joints already on them, just bolt it all right up, BUT, if i use my current DRUM lower ball joints, i have to drill the holes out on the drum balljoints, correct or?
