Are you running a vapor separator? Or any kind of return line? If the return line orifice is too big it will have low pressure. Just went through this on mine. The Year One vapor separtor i bought had the return line orifice too big. Should be .060, mine was .100.
I'm just running a 6AN line from the tank to the pump. No returns or separator.

it acts EXACTLY like it did b 4 after replacing all these parts? & you hooked a gas can 2 the mech pump inlet & no ch? Std p rod length is 3.250" so I dont think .030" shorter is killing you. I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that the new pump is malfunctioning which is confusing the issue because everything was replaced right? & you wouldn't think the new pump would b the prob that it has 2 be something else but there ain't nothing else unless we're missing something. The can/hose on the inlet elims everything rearward. The cam lobe/purod are solid & will b constant as in if the stroke was too short it would still stay at a constant (but too low) psi & not drop. That only leaves the pump & I had one act like that. If it's a rebuildable one open it up & see if anything looks out of whack & I'm assuming not an oddball issue like E10 vapor locking but it happens pretty quick?. Holler when you find something but I bet on the pump

Is your tank vented enough? Try removing the gas cap and see what happends.
I tried running off a gas can, and change.

I put another pump on it, and it still has the same issue. I have a Mallory 110 pump I want to put on it. But I can't find a good place to mount it.
have you tried another guage ?
The electric pump needs to be as close to the fuel source as possible , over the rear axle off to one side is a possible place , make sure the rear axle won't hit anything with full suspension compression.

I swap out the autometer gauge for a Russell one.
If anyone has a 65-66 C-body with a stock tank and an electric pump. I'd like to see some pics. Thanks

I wouldn't have believed it if it didn't happen to me - my cam wore down my fuel pump pushrod (a newer Mopar Performance piece) within 2,000 miles. Pressure kept dropping and dropping over time (from a solid 6.5 PSI to about 2), and I fixed or replaced about everything to find the problem. When I had the engine out last year, I went into "just in case" mode, and checked the pushrod against a new Mopar Performance unit, and what do you know... it was about 3/8 of an inch SHORTER. It was clearly worn down. I put the new MP pushrod in knowing I would probably have to replace it anyway at some point. Fuel pressure was good for a while, but I see it dropping off now. An electric fuel pump is in my future!

Who makes a good fuel pump push rod, and what is the correct length? I've found 2 lengths online 3.22 and 3.242
I have a 25yr old N.O.S. original that measures 3.215

AN6 fuel line? rubber or rubber with stainless shielding over it or steel line from tank to pump with original style hose sections as installed at oem?
Reason I ask is I bought some China made high press fuel injection hose from a reputable parts house and started having issues like yours and found the the inner wall of the dual wall hose was collapsing and starving the engine. 440 with 750 EB and and high perf mechanical fuel pump. Just a thought.

Sorry if this has been asked before, is the car having driveability issues? Have you tried another gauge to verify?
I have not been able to drive the car. I will prime the fuel bowls, the car will run for a few minutes, then the pressure will slowly drop to nothing. When the engine finally shouts off, the fuel bowls will be empty.
I tried running the car off of a gas can, still had the same issues. So I don't think, it's the lines, tank, or pick up.
I've seen your car on the Dry Dock. Are you running a stock tank or a fuel cell? Mech or elec pump?
