Does anyone know of a special tool that will allow you to access the fuel inlet fitting for a sixpack carb while on the carb? I saw some refs to this Mac tool, but can't find it listed as available anywhere.

Nothing special about that wrench, it's a common 15/75 degree open-end wrench, all the tool makers offer them.... probably even Harbor Freight.

The Holley inlet fitting is 1".

I haven't seen any others that thin. I think the idea is you can use two wrenches (1" and 1/2") when tightening/loosening the fule lines.

After looking at my carbs, it's unlikely that would work anyway. It's too tight a fit in there. I'm checking to see if this might work:

FWIW back when I ran a sixpack I would replace the inlet fittings for ones that had a second smaller set of wrench flats so taking the fuel lines apart was easier... Some of the older Holley fittings had the 1" hex and a 11/16 hex which worked great...

That's funny you should mention that, I have a "parts" sixpack set up and two of the carbs have that fitting you describe. That would better.

This wrench is sold by a member of the board, looks like it would work fine .

Loctite the fittings in there and forget about the big wrench that will never fit in there anyway

The stock six pak fuel lines are a pain to work on I converted several of mine to AN fittings and SS lines just for that reason, the big fittings in the carbs. still will come lose sometimes BTW, DO NOT loctite those fittings Real six pak fuel bowls are to hard to come by

I have one of those wrenches in the toolbox.
Seemed to work well for me when i had my Cuda, with 6 pack carburetion on it, for decades.

Yeah, but that's the easy way.

We make & sell a thin, heat-treated 1" wrench specifically for this application. Less expensive than anyone else's, too.
$22.00 + $3.00 shipping. Got tired of trying to wrangle a wrench between my Holley & the firewall on my racecar and garfing up the fittings, bowls & firewall.
You can PM me here, or email me directly at topside340@yahoo.com, or look me up on ebay as seller name "topside340", if you want one.

That's. Cool wrench. I changed over to the an lines. Pricey fix lol

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
