That really sounds great and looks great. You have an incredible knack for building vehicles.

Thanks, Rick and Blusmbl. To be honest, Rick, it wasn't that enjoyable of a ride, because this was the final exam for all of my ideas and hard work, and I was well aware that Murphy's Law could kick in at any moment and ruin my day. However, it was a relief that I passed the test. Future drives will be more enjoyable. It was an absolutely beautiful day here in Tampa, but unfortunately I couldn't take the Jeep out, because I have to replace my pitman arm. The one that's in there now was banging against my tie rod, and I don't want to drive more and do more damage to the tie rod. The new pitman should be here in a day or two. From the first ride alone, I can tell there are two things I want to do. First, change the mufflers to some quieter ones. This isn't a hot rod, and I want to enjoy my nice stereo system. Second, I want to install a front sway bar.

To address the less than sports car-like handling, I purchased a Currie AntiRock sway bar kit.
To address the excessive exhaust decibels, I purchased a pair of Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers to replace my very nice, but loud, Hooker AeroChamber mufflers. I spent some coin on a stereo system, and I'd like to be able to hear it while I'm driving.

Several days ago, I swapped out the Hooker AeroChamber mufflers with a pair of Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. While it did quiet it down some, I discovered some major exhaust leaks where the primary header pipes slip into the collectors. This coming week, I'm going to seal up these leaks with Permatex 80335 Muffler & Tailpipe Sealer. Sealing up these leaks will help to further quiet down the exhaust system.
I took it out for another drive today. I recently had some coolant leak out of the radiator overflow nipple on several occasions. I tried a higher pressure radiator cap, and that seems to have solved the problem.

A couple short clips. The front end and steering feel a bit squirrelly and unpredictable, so I decided to hold off on really nailing the go pedal at this time. Leaving Approaching

A friend of mine built a nasty AMC 360 motor for a CJ5 he had. He said it was without a doubt the easiest vehicle to scare passengers with.

We drove the Jeep out to Wing House tonight. It was the first time I actually drove it to a destination. During the drive to and from, I noticed several electrical issues. First, my right turn signal indicator comes on, but doesn't blink. Second, my oil pressure gauge wasn't illuminated when I turned on the headlights. Lastly, on the ride home, at about the halfway point, my headlights completely went out. Fortunately, I was only about a mile and a half from home when it happened, and the streets were well lit.
