Great looking Road Runner. Like that it still has the stock steering wheel. I hope the 68 I'm building turns out half that nice.

Dude, you're killin' me! That's pretty much what I wanted to build for my next project (but with a big-inch low-deck), but instead I'm doing my '64 wagon. You really should enclose that battery; I would think that would be a problem passing Tech.
and a firewall and master cut off switch, are you buddies with the tech guy? just kidding but i'm going through all that stuff now 'cause i put my batt in the trunk. i run a stock fuel tank so a batt box was all i needed but was told i had to install the switch, otherwise i would have run mine like yours, looks sharp, really nice car, love that colour, is that sunfire yellow?
I have a lowdeck 493" with indy sr heads that makes 773HP on the engine stand, its fresh and all can do to keep from installing it in the road Runner...If you look close where the rear pass side marker goes you can see the cutoff switch and there is a rear firewall.Never been hassled about battery box...Yes its Sunfire Yellow..
you cheeky devil, i didn't see the firewall or the cut off switch, very nice

lots of similarities................mine was painted in '83, still shows pretty decent though.
I used to watch that car race every week at Sears Point (Infinion), guy named Scott from Penngrove owned it. I remember one night it blew the guts out of an 8.75 rear on the starting line! That car always looked good and ran hard, one of my all time favorites....Don't ever paint it! Looks killer!

BTW, I blew the 8-3/4 up and put this in there back in'08.
We used to break a ring gear on our 8 3/4 at the end of every season. Finally we welded a brace on it and haven't had any problems since. Of course it doesn't get raced anymore or driven so who knows if that really fixed the problem.
