I really wanted to keep a 727 in the car, but it wasnt possible.....
Several vendors could of made that happen for you as they have done others. Just none on this site that I know of.

Josh, I think that was a great move. I have already made my mind up that the next trans for the Coronet will be a turbo 400. Plus another nice bonus is the flex plate to converter bolts are thru-bolted instead of those darn converter bolts that you always are tightening on a 727 setup. poppaj

Thanks thumperdart!!
As far as installing a gm trans in a mopar you need the jw bell housing, jw wheel, jw crank adapter, a t400 with the bell cut off properly, a new drive shaft, fabricated trans mount, new trans cooler lines. New slip yoke, someone who knows how to check a bell, as some are cast/machined bad and need sent back, a dial indicator to index the bell off the flywheel and make sure its dead center and as stated earlier, a catch can...oh and a lot of money and patience. I thought for sure that chevy stuff was cheaper than mopar stuff.... I was dead wrong

Its a gm tranny thing I guess. I took the cvar for a quick romp last night, got in it 4-5 times, and put it on the transbrake on meridian st downtown once and there was at least a qt of trans fluid that pumped out the vent.
I don't think it should be doing that, maybe a little overfilled plus extra heat? I don't know but that doesn't sound right to me. Maybe you should check with the builder on that.

Possibly overfilled? Remember, alot of aftermarket dipsticks are marked wrong. I consider this a must check. My Lokar was wrong on my glide after I checked it with the pan off.

Yeah I figured there would be extra heat but I don't mess with too many GM trannys so who knew.

Well, after numerous nights of working all night, and maybe palying a little hooky from work here and there, the car moved under its own power tonight.
Feels good to drive it around again.
I did learn that GM trannys really need a catch can!!!! I got to clean up a quart of trans fluid of more from under the car, so that will go in tomorrow.
2.10 first gear really feels different...i cant wait to see what it does on the track.... stay tuned, once i get back from woodward i will be off to test
thought 1st gear is a 2.48...did you have that changed??
