While installing 3" wheel studs on my 68 Barracuda (front) it seems that the aftermarket studs only have a 3/8" knurl while the factory studs have 1/2"-5/8". I am using new factory style rotors and hubs (2-peice) and the knurl is not long enough to hold the hub to the rotor. I know that when a wheel is attached it will hold the assembly together but I was wondering if anyone made a 3" wheel stud with a longer knurl? I have looked but they all seem the same?
Thanks,
Mark J

Agree you need it tight or you will be fighting it the first time a wheel has to come off. I use the MP 3" studs (1/2-20) from Mancini and knurl is sufficient.

Thanks,
I had to go back to an older MP catalog to see a pic as Mancini doesn't have a pic. It looks like the shank is longer and the knurl is moved further from the head - this could work - any other suggestions?.

A few different size knurls and the pics I found show the knurl at the base. Which studs are you looking at because I'm not seeing them and I need them also.

Here is a page from the arp catalog. they may have what you need.
The 7707 is the only thing I could find that would fit my 71 Satellite front discs. $60 some dollars for a package of 5.
The other part numbers are priced alot lower.

Many years ago I had a local machine shop bore the holes bigger for the 2 piece rotors. They did that so they could use a stud the had in stock for something else. I could not find anyone who offered the correct 3" studs for Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers with the 2 piece rotor. This was in the late 80's so things might be different now, the point is where there is a will, there is a way
