Finally a HUSKER again

After all the headaches with the B1Ba heads I had, the valve train issues, the rocker clearance, and the multiple PUSHROD issues, building a stroker like mine, which runs great, and fine with the Indybrock heads now, I would NEVER build another engine without very off the shelf parts again.
So my next build for my Demon is going to be a very street friendly 340. Nothing special, no custom pistons, no custom solid roller cam, no clearanceing of the block, no main girdle to clearance, no custom oiling system, no pain in the azz carb to tune, just a nice 340 that will be ther efor a long time.
The charger is getting a very mild 440 build, and thats it.
I kinda went over the top on the 408, and its street manners suck. Its a total blast, and great to drive, just dosnt like the heat, dosnt like the "pump" gas around me, and dosnt like to hook up...LOL,,,.
So Im thinkin whe it comes time to freshen the 408, Ill do that, and sell it in favor of a milder engine.

Engine for my Rampage... 340 block bored to 4.070, 4" forged crank for 416CI,turned down to chevy for a 6.125 rod, Diamond dish pistons, W-5 heads for a 10.9 compression, solid roller cam 250/260 .625/.635 on a 106 LSA, TD rockers with push rod oiling, M1 intake with a 850 DP or a 1050 dom, custom headers..... most everything on this build is stuff I had laying around... basically I had to order just the pistons so it would be a pump gas engine

400/470,using the Stealth heads off of my current 440,and a 590 Mopar cam.But I also may not do it as the 440 I have now runs great on pump swill and runs 11's all day long.

Heck I have almost enough stuff to build a 395c W-2 but I think I would be short on the cam... and pistons if I want that pump gas friendly... got plenty of race pistons

No.... more like junk collectors... I dont sell alot of stuff... and that can be good and bad when I get around to it I will build the W-2 as a back up for the Rampage... that'll give me 2 engines for the Rampage and 2 engines for the P-BODY

Just putting the finishing touches to my edelbrock headed low deck 512 stroker for my street car. The heads were ported by Dwayne Porter and the cam is a custom Scotty Brown mechanical. It should be done in the next couple of weeks. Next on the agenda is a 588 or 604 aluminum blocked wedge for my Demon. Heads will be either Indy 572-13 or B1 - PSO's. This one will be in the works for a LONG TIME. Have the block so the foundation is there. The rest will come as the funds allow. I may have to change my handle when all is done!!!
Thanx 451 Guy

After I lost the head off of an intake valve on my last motor I am riencarnating it. Its a 360 that will have KB107s, SDSS repaired the heads did his valve job and put 2.05 intakes in. Scat I-beam rods, and I don't have the cam specs handy. After that is running I have an eagle 4" forged crank and a .020 over 340 block to start a stroker with.

Actually, mine is more of a "pellet" build. Pretty much a stock 360 ( original E58 motor out of my 79 300 ) that will be going in to my wifes 79 300. TRW H405P-30 pistons should net me around 9:1 with some 67 CC 915 casting heads ( cut about .0020" and mild bowl work. Will go with a Hughes HEH1523AL Hyd. cam, 1.6 roller rockers, stock cast iron intake and modified TQ. Gotta be all original looking up top. Should make her ride a little more fun a still be very user friendly.
