My daughter called me to say her 2002 PT cruiser's engine stalled as she came to a stop. She said it was running fine and just shut off by it'self. It started right back up though. So any thoughts on this like is it a common occurance for this to happen. The car has 150,000 miles on it all stock with automatic.

At 150,000 it's over due for a timing belt water pump and idler change. The parts run abot $200 as a kit through Rock auto. You could ask these guys they are real good on PT problems. http://www.ptcrew.com/?sid=9593d8e8a3d72cc73fe9c37ff7e2a6a5

Did you put any food/water in the squirrel cage lately . Sorry Stu I couldnt resist, but I do agree with crudded up throttle body/Iac. Clean it out and run some chevron through it, might be ok,D
