I purchased secondary jets from;

C-A Vasquez Ent. Inc
BFIC Fuel Systems
1617 Magnolia Blvd
Burbank, CA 91506
818 845-9000

They were $9.50 each. They had a pretty good selection of sizes.

IF you want to go to a slightly larger jet(on a single carb application) ... just gently drill it out. IF you want to go smaller jet ... like for a dual carb application ... that is another issue.

I have plans on doing some R&D work on the secondary spray-bars.... to make them more efficient.

My 850 is rich at WOT with a 143 jet so I put a 137 in it(leanest I had) and the AFR went from 10 to 11.5 while my cruise AFR is lean.I would like to get some secondary jets in the 120 range.

I'm going through the same thing at the moment. I've got the primaries where I want them with 95's, but with the 137's secondaries, WOT is in the high 10's. I was questioning the secondary door spring tension but haven't had a chance to check it. Have you played around with that to see if it makes any difference?

I found it strange that these things would come stock with even bigger jets that the 137's if they run that rich.

Headers & blocked heat risers will change things a bit

depending on what carb you have maybe a secondary jet from a 318 TQ would be better?

I have the correct carb(6453)for 360 duster auto and the engine is bone stock with heat crossover blocked.A few years ago Dulcich(Mopar Muscle article) tuned one on a chassis dyno and with the 110 jet(the leanest made)he fought rich WOT readings while the primaries were lean at mid range.

Why not just fill yours in and drill them to what ever size you want?

Is your secondary air door adjusted to open all the way?

I have read someone else on here suggesting to fill them with sodder, then drill them out.

McMaster-Carr has a good selection of drill sizes for jetting. Take the primary jets out of some old TQ's and turn them into secondary jets in different sizes.

The secondary air opening is also adjustable with the tab that will let you open the door more or less at WOT.

Make sure the secondary jet air bleed path is open and clean. Also, take a look at the secondary air door angle in the fully open postion (check for clean choke pulloff operation).

If there is a valve in the air cleaner snorkel check for fully open operation. (If you are running a stock air cleaner you may want to consider flipping the lid or installing slightly taller element).

I may have to do just that but
1) don't have drill bit selection suited for this
2) not sure what solder to use so it actualy sticks to the brass

Air door is adjusted all the way open and the air cleaner lid is upside down.

Silver solder would do the trick for anyone looking to fill some jets.

The air-door should NEVER be all the way open.

On our Stock Eliminator cars we set the air door at .890 to .895. Other racers will set them at .860 to .865 and jet them a bit leaner. I do not know anyone who has the door open all he way.

There is a spec that indicates what the correct open position is (usually listed for convenience in the rebuild kit instructions). Under wide open throttle the air door should be open to this position. I use a different setting than the factory spec (a little tighter) that I have picked up some ET but the OEM spec should be fine in this case.

I believe its at.500 right now but I have had it adjusted to where its almost shut and everywhere in-between with no change in WOT AFR readings.
