Hey guys,,,,,, the guy I bought my truck from had a fascination with aftermarket pin stripe. Now, I've got the stripe off but they left a glue residue.. any suggestions on what I can use to remove it without damaging the paint.....?

Tnx,

Bryan

Another vote for 3M adhesive remover.

I've used the 3M Citrus adhesive remover with good luck, but have also used brake cleaner. It didn't soften my paint, but parts of the truck had been repainted so I can't say it was factory.

Nice truck Bryan! I use enamel reducer or final wash with very good results, it isn't aggressive enough to harm the paint but it will take away the glue nicely.

I had the same problem with a truck I bought. I tried the adhesive removers, WD40, Goof-off, Goo-Gone, and they all succeeded in softening up the glue so it spread around and made a bigger mess. What finally worked the best was gasoline on a cotton cloth.
