73 Duster, I have the wire connected at the sending unit for the Fuel, and I have the line grounded similar to how the factory had it.

I have a new engine wire harness for the water temp gauge

My dash wiring is very nice original.

I bought one of those newer upgrade voltage limiters off Ebay to replace the old metal pill style.

Problem is, neither gauge works. I have fresh fuses in the block.

Did the limiter have particular slots for each wire? I believe the one that had the 12v went into a specific slot and thats where I put it...

Not so big on the water temp gauge working since I'm going to go to an aftermarket gauge but I'm really interested in the fuel gauge though.
Anything i am missing or should look for?

first I would test for voltage to the VR in the dash, just incase.
then if there was power going in and coming out(would not be the first bad part out of the box,) I would test the gauge.
wire up 2 AA batteries in series and touch it to the poles. see if they move.
