I am looking for a set of 15x7 Mopar rallye wheels . I already have original center caps but need rims and trim rings. I have heard that there are some subtle differences in the orginals versus repro. What are they ? Also what makes some 15x7 rallyes more expensive then others , date codes? Any info would be appreciated.

I think there was a picture on here of a comparison between reproduction wheels and old ones showing a slight difference in the shape of the holes on the wheels.

Generally the original 15x7 wheels are worth to restorers looking for wheels with the correct part numbers for their ride.

I tried doing a search and couldn't find the comparison. Anyone have pics comparing the two?

Brand new repops are brand new , they are closer to the 71 and up wheels. Used is used , just that.
Just make sure the repop is made with a new center and a new band. Not a used center and a new band.

Thanks for the pics. I have not decided what I will end up with. For the repos is one company better than another? I didn't know anyone did repos with a used center, Thats good info.

if your running large bolt pattern, its better IMO to just buy repos unless you can get a killer deal on originals.

most of the originals i see all need to be blasted and painted, and for ~150/wheel you can just get new...i think summit and jegs even sell them. but you can get from wheel vintiques as well.

of course you will need to find center caps and trim rings but those are much easier to find used in good condition or even new for reasonable.
