Will a stock 400 pan fit ? is the 383 pick up the same as 400 ? The 383 pan is dented and rotted . thanks guys IF YOU ARE NOT WRECKING STUFF YOU ARE NOT LEARNING !

Only caveat is iirc a baffled pan needs a pickup w a diff bend than the pickup for a non baffled pan but 383/400/440 the same just need a regular center sump pan (sump actually somewhat forward from exact center) but is called a center sump as opposed to all the way in the "rear sump" (truck) and an all the way in the "front sump" (van). check the BB for sale section & for anything other than a DD a baffled pan would b a good choice & you can weld one in around the perimeter of the top of the sump easily & dont paint it until after you weld & weld slow/carefull to avoid warping the flange and buy a pickup for a baffled pan if you're adding em live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
