not as many as you would have thought...i have owned 2 1968 CHARGER R/Ts, all console autos...seems the 68 R/Ts were advertised/sold as luxury cruisers rather than street bruisers, many had PS,PDB, AC,cruise,PW,Consoles, stripped down versions are rare....4 speeders are far and few between...a friend of mine has a triple black 4 speed...been in his stable 30 years...i wish you best of luck restoring yours....lots more avail now for them as compared to when i did my first 1(1982)!pics to follow as i just dropped off 100 to be scanned &put on disc...

Since all the currently available "production numbers" are based on percentages (to 0.1%), none of them are CONCRETE. Since the "Option & Accessory" reports were created by humans, errors exist. 1968 Charger & Charger R/T manual transmission numbers (US spec.): Charger (74,886 built)/6 Charger = 904 (0.1% = 1 +/- 0) /6 & 3-speed < 0.1% ( less than 1) V8 Charger = 73,982 (0.1% = 74 +/- 37) 318 & 3-speed < 0.1% ( less than 37) 383 2bbl & 4-speed = 0.1% = 74 ( 37 to 111) 383 4bbl & 4-speed = 0.4% = 296 ( 259 to 333) Charger R/T (17,584 built) (0.1% = 18 +/- 9) 440 & 4-speed = 15.6% = 2743 ( 2734 to 2752) HEMI & 4-speed = 1.2% = 211 ( 202 to 220) I have somebody's translated '68 Charger "Option & Accessory" report, and I may have mis-interpreted their interpretation. Any math scholars see issues in my logic or lack there-of?

Im just curious as to how many 68 Charger RT's came with 4 speeds. Also, it'd be nice to know how many were silver (aa1)
Since paint code A buffed "silver metallic" was the only regular OPTION for paint, it was tracked in the "Option & Accessory" report.
Charger R/Ts with 708 - "buffed paint" = 3.5% ----- 615 +/- 9 cars.
What engine was your Charger R/T originally & is it a US spec. car?
There are 14 Charger R/Ts & 3 Chargers in "silver metallic" registered on my site.

Charger (74,886 built) /6 Charger = 904 (0.1% = 1 +/- 0) /6 & 3-speed < 0.1% (less than 1)
V8 Charger = 73,982 (0.1% = 74 +/- 37) 318 & 3-speed < 0.1% (less than 37) 383 2bbl & 4-speed = 0.1% = 74 (37 to 111) 383 4bbl & 4-speed = 0.4% = 296 (259 to 333)
Charger R/T (17,584 built) (0.1% = 18 +/- 9) 440 & 4-speed = 15.6% = 2743 (2734 to 2752) HEMI & 4-speed = 1.2% = 211 (202 to 220)

So I took a possible one in 37 car and converted it to a BB 4spd? oh well I consider it an improvement!
