Well my barry grant 280dead head system gave it up at pittsburgh this weekend I am looking to replace it some systems have the return right after the pump and some run a return back from the regulator at the front of the car. Looking for suggestions for a b1 powered 572 that when running correctly runs 9.50.

Are the dead head systems prone to lag issues when the car lay.leaves....with the 280 it sometimes happened when the car hooked??

Considering either a welddon or aeromotive

Thanks V10

I prefer the regulator up front... tends to keep cooler
fuel near the carb... cant really say about the lag issue
I've been using a Mallory 4 port for years

The Aeromotive A1000 has been super reliable on both of my motors. One is a 360 making 300hp and driven almost everyday and the other is my 700hp hemi...

I run a neat little set-up on the 360 with the regulator up front and excess fuel returned from the regulator, but the short line to the EZ-efi is dead headed. Works really well, and was easier to plumb that way.

i recently changed to the Magnafuel 275 pump & matching regulator. the pump has the bypass built into it so the returnline is short. the datalogger showed a more constant pressure over a run & i did a temporary guage port in the supply so i had a reference if i had fuel pressure problems at a later date. it supplies the reg at 18psi when new. i was impressed, not surprised the dataloggers readings are so consistant. i'm running 9.4's so i can recomend the Magnafuel is up to the task.
