Here's the rewards of my 8yo sons and my hard work for the past week. GTX got bodywork done and a color change from FJ5 to FJ6. Car was shot at 10am this morning. Will begin assembly on Monday. My son did most of the sanding on this car and I am very proud of him. Way to go Anthony!

Thanks guys. I have know car for past 20 something years and guy just put up for sale awhile back and I traded my 2005 Mazda 3s for it. Here is the start. 1971 GTX, original F3 green repainted in '90 in a backyard to FJ5 with '72 style roadrunner stripes. Wish I had taken a picture of her as was totally...was wearing giant slots all jacked up in the air straight out of the 70/80's.

last for day..still need to assemble rear bumper/tail lights, window trim and some other odds and ends. Need new antenna...for some reason now it looks terrible and threads are striped for mounting.

Ill only make 1 suggestion, paint the hood inserts body color. other wise it looks great

I was kicking that around ...found them to be body color under last black repaint. After I put stripes on hood I'll make my determination.

I liked the way the inserts looked black when the hood had the other stripes on it but didn't realize how out of place it'd make em without any on it. My car originally had the louver looking stripes in the indention and maybe that would look ok, but I'll just have to see with the scoop to fender stripes how it goes...probably going back green though.

ya, I paint them green and go with the hood to fender stripe!!
