Anyone have some pics of the correct style turn downs for a non-exhaust tip car?

I'd like to go with the tips, but its a bit costly to add them at $300/pair.

I bought a system from Accurate last year for my RR but its not installed yet. To put the tips on correctly you would also have to change your valance.

Yea, I know I need a different valance. I have a 71-X for reference. What I was curious about was whether I need "bologna sliced" or just turned downs. I was thinking they had a distinct profile.

When I bought my car in 05, it had some nasty aftermarket chrome turn down tips on it. They HAD to go. So I had a local exhaust shop do this:

I thought they did a real nice job on it. Kicked 'em up and down and then sliced nicely. Sort of like how I thought they would be if they were stock tailpipes.

At one time I had considered getting the correct tips. At the time, repop valances weren't on the market and used ones were very hard to find and FAR from cheap. Most of the ones I found needed plenty of body work too. I figured between the cost of the tips, valance, body work and paint... I would have had OVER a GRAND in putting tips on the car. In the end, stock isn't really my thing anyway. So I yanked the tailpipes completely and I just run dumps on the mufflers.

I believe your request was for "correct" turn downs, The ebay link appears to be the correct ones and here is a picture the original 1971 "California sound emissions" tail pipes.....

That's exactly how I had the exhaust shop do mine, but in 3 inch. I think just about all mopar tailpipes were like that when the didn't have any kind of tips.
