It is important to know that all Hoosier Racing Tires are designed for a specific purpose, fitment, and application and effective immediately Hoosier Racing Tires are not recommended or to be used on Nitro injected A/Fuel Dragsters, Pro Fuel Dragsters, Fuel Funny Cars, or Top Fuel Dragsters. We are developing tires for some of these applications and notice will be given when these tires are available for sale.

Never utilize a tire for a purpose it was not intended. Utilizing Hoosier Tires in any form outside of their intended use constitutes misuse of the product and can cause SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.

Maybe it is because their other tires are designed for purposes other than what is listed in the statement?

Just taking a guess

If that is incorrect, they are the best hooking unsafe tires I have ever used

Have you seen what TF and the others do to a tire?
Whole different deal than lower powered cars...
plus the speed.

I love my Hoosiers, but I use them for the application they were designed for. It's no different than ANY other product for any other purpose. Just about everything has a disclaimer on it. i.e.: toys, tools, etc. But some people still try to use something differently than it was engineered and tested for because they thought they knew better than the engineers that spent a lot of time and money on it. The results of using something outside of its design limits can naturally result in "problems".

They use Hoosier tire with great results in many fast class cars but nothing that stresses them like nitro cars. Alcohol funny cars and Pro Mods use them and never seem to have an issue. I don't know why they never worked out for NHRA Pro Stock cars though.

There are some of the M/T tires that you are never suposed to run a chassis dyno either. It beats the sidewalls too badly and they go "BOOM!".

well you would think about some q-16 cars and like that could be the same,
then look at al-anabi race cars alot still run hoosiers!
fatigue , stress would be the issue as i have purchased used slicks from 'diggers' and i have seen how bad the sidewals are torn up,
may not do that any more.

the notice was for A/fuel cars and faster not to use them. read that as big MPH. The crew chief said he new and used them anyway. No biggie for the other tires.

After having read that Hoosier reps TOLD them NOT to run those tires, NHRA is 100% right in giving these guys the boot.

If they had any decency they would be paying for the other guys car too.......
